The ED 3M (Matter Molecules and Materials) PhD Day aims at bringing together all PhD students scattered across different locations in the west of France and allow them to exchange about their research.
The JED2022 will take place on June 2, 2022 at the Beaulieu campus in Rennes, the exchange session will revolve around the theme of "Transformation, Motion and Interaction". In fact, our universe, modified by the eternal motion of matter, is governed by different laws of how particles interact. Therefore, it is imperative to understand these interactions in order to be able to design the best materials and shape a better tomorrow.
The day will start with a plenary presentation by 2020 CNRS Silver Medalist Prof. Eric Collet. Then Students will be able to promote their work through oral communication (12 minutes + 3 minutes of questions, related to JED theme), flash communication (1 to 3 diapos in 3 minutes), and posters (A0 format, portrait, all topics accepted). Slides and Posters must be in English and presentations in English are strongly recommended. The best presentations will be awarded by a jury consisting mainly of teachers and researchers from the Rennes campus. Of course, it is also possible to attend the JED as a simple participant. However, due to the limited number of 200 people, priority will be given to third-year doctoral students who have not actively participated (oral communication or posters) yet. As a reminder, to validate your PhD, it is mandatory to attend JED3M twice and submit at least one contribution (presentation or poster) during your participation.
To create a friendly atmosphere conducive to exchanges, lunch and coffee breaks will be covered by the 3M Doctoral School.
Registration is mandatory for all participants and will be open from 20/04/2022 to 10/05/2022.
